Rachael is having a give-away of some IKEA fabric on her blog!
http://parkave-sweatshop.blogspot.com/2009/05/ikea-giveaway.html#comment-form
Go show some love! =-)
This is the first give-away I've ever entered in Blogland...
I've seen plenty of them, but this is really the first one that I was honestly interested in. I don't enter these things "just because it's something free"! I think that's not fair to those who really really want whatever is being given...
But maybe that's just me.
And in case anyone's been wondering, yes, I know I finished the baby quilt and yes, I know I haven't posted any pictures yet...
I'm still waiting on my daughter to help me with that...
Don't get your hopes up too much. It's really not that great...

Baby Quilt
I just finished the baby quilt!
Yay!
It's flannel and fleece, so it's super soft. =-)
But it's late so I'll post pictures tomorrow or the next day...
'night!

Okay...
So, I told you I'd get some pictures up of the progress on my garden...
Well,
yes
and
no.
My 19 yo was out there with me when I started, so she helped out by taking pictures. =-)
But then I had to go drive the afternoon route before we could get any of the veggies or herbs planted...
But at least we got the marigolds in the ground! =-)
So I only have a few pictures. ::rolling eyes::
Here is the garden with the bags and bags and bags of Black Kow manure added, and I'm making rows in it:
You can also see the veggies, herbs and marigolds I bought to plant in there. You've heard of "my eyes were bigger than my stomach"? Well, my eyes were bigger than my garden!
And here is the garden with the marigolds lining the two sides:
It's supposed to help keep nematodes or something off the tomatoes.
I'll see if it helps.
But at least it looks cute! =-)
So I went to drive the afternoon route, and when I got back to put in the tomatoes and stuff, it was another day,
and my photographer was at work,
so now my tomatoes are in the ground, as is the okra, the one squash plant, and the basil and other herbs...
And I have no pictures of them!!
I'll see if I can get my photographer to take a few minutes to go out there tomorrow to snap a few pics and load them on my 'puter...
Wish me luck! =-)

Wasted Days & Wasted Nights...
I don't know how some of you do it!
I've been busy with sewing, cooking, cleaning, driving the bus, "ANTM" (Oh the shame! My teen daughters got me started), and all other things domestic. I haven't had TIME to blog!
And thus,
I've been spending too much time on the computer!
So I took a sabatical. (Basically because I have no self control! That's the only way I could force myself to NOT waste time on the 'puter!)
For an entire week (plus a few days)!
But I'm back for a while...
And I'm hoping to get that baby quilt finished by this weekend!!!
(But, perhaps you know me too well by now. That's no promise. I'm only hoping! [blush])

"Hope springs eternal!"
